How Far Are the Stars?
by Sabine Bohlmann
Age Range: Under_5
“How big is the world?” the little kitten asks his Mama from their cosy spot by the window. This curious kitten wants to know everything about the world outside – “Is the big, wide world wider than I can jump, Mama.” And the questions keep coming. Is the World tall? How high is the sky and how far are the stars? Who does it belong to? Patiently, the kitten’s Mama answers as best she can – “Let’s go and see, shall we?” Once outside, the little cat begins to explore and discovers that the world is bigger than it could ever have imagined.
How Far Are the Stars? is a gentle and sweet story by German author Sabine Bohlmann, translated by Polly Lawson, about childhood curiosity, the wonder of discovering the world around us and the bond between a parent and a child and accompanied by engaging and humorous illustrations by Polish illustrator Emilia Dziubak.
