One, Two, Where's My Shoe?
by Tomi Ungerer
Age Range: Under_5
Shoe, Where are You? Help find shoe and have fun discovering each hiding place in this witty game of hide-and-seek. Did the Scarecrow scare them off? Is it sailing on the wide blue sea? Or it may be hidden in a juicy ham, or in a soldier’s elegant moustache. It may even have turned into a fish’s face or a cow horn. The shoes have been cleverly hidden in the almost textless book.
One, Two Where’s My Shoe? by Tomi Ungerer, who is one of the world’s most acclaimed children’s author’s, was first published in German in 1973. The charming retro illustrations in vivid, rich blocks of colour are cleverly hidden with the shapes of shoes. It’s an intriguing and stimulating visual game and children will have great fun identifying the shoe shapes as they are often in the most unexpected places.
