Charlotte and The Wolves
by Anu Stohner
Age Range: Under_5
Charlotte is a brave and daring little sheep – everyone says so. Three of the young sheep are envious of Charlotte, especially when she is always being praised. They bandy together and call themselves ‘The Wolves’. They are mean to the sheepdog Jack, bully the young sheep, but most of all they are determined to outwit Charlotte. When danger lurks in the forest nearby, Charlotte doesn’t listen to the rest of the flock. Instead she goes to have a look. Will the ‘The Wolves’ succeed in catching Charlotte out?
An amusing and warm tale about courage from German author Anu Stoner and enhanced by Henrike Wilson’s illustrations. The vivid and life-like artwork, especially of Charlotte, and the comical expressions of the sheep are particularly endearing. Readers will also enjoy Brave Charlotte, the first book about this feisty little sheep.
