Wildwitch 3: Life Stealer
by Lene Kaaberbol
Age Range: 9-11
Clara has been having strange dreams where she takes on the form of an animal – a sparrow flitting under the forest canopy, a snake slithering on its belly across a carpet of leaves or a hawk about to swoop down on its prey. The dreams are so vivid and frightening that it soon becomes clear that these visions are more than just dreams especially when they result in a serious accident at school with a pupil ending up in intensive care.
Aunt Isa and another Wildwitch Mrs Pommerans attempt to discover where these visions are emanating from and as the tension mounts, Clara’s Wildfriend Cat puts himself in serious danger in order to protect her. Clara realises her only chance of saving Cat is to delve into the shadowy past of her old foe Chimera, whom she defeated at the end of book two, and discover the secrets that are haunting her and to destroy them.
