Age Range: 6-8
This simple small, square format non-fiction picture book is filled with questions designed to get conversations started. The book reveals a different question featured in black text on one page with a colourful photograph or drawing on the opposite page. ‘Is there something you don’t like to eat? ’What do you wish you could do really well?’ ‘How can you tell that you are growing?’ ‘What makes you sad?’ ‘What would you like to know more about?’ ‘What can you do better than your parents?’
German author and illustrator Antje Damm has created questions that are simple and direct; children are asked to recall memories, use observation skills or discuss their thoughts and feelings. Reading the questions, and looking at the pictures, each reader will have different things to ask and answers to give.
