Getting funding

Many sources of funding exist to support translation and translation projects. 

Here you can find a wealth of ideas for grants specific to particular countries, as well as generic funding ideas for translation projects.

Particularly noteworthy, for example, are the Arts Council’s Grants for the Arts (which can help cover the cost of producing a book in translation as well as associated resources and author tours) and the PEN grants (in addition to Pen Translates!  you may well want to look into Pen Promotes! which awards grants to UK publishers to help promote, market and champion these titles.)
