Reading Round the World

 Our flagship project Reading Round the World in 2009 was a UK-wide programme running 43 workshops and events working directly with children and bringing them together with international books and their creators in schools and libraries.  We collected valuable material about young people's attitudes towards books in translation, upon which we continue to build our future work.

The 'Reading Round the World' programme was funded by the Arts Council of England, with partnership funding from the British Airways Community Investment Fund for Hounslow, Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation, East Sussex County Council, FAB Cornwall, Goethe Institute, Hampshire County Council, Icelandic Literature Fund, The Japan Society, Swedish Arts Council, Royal Thai Embassy and the Unwin Charitable Trust.
