Outside In World | Mission Statement

To celebrate and promote the diversity of children's literature from around the world, with a particular focus on books in translation. To raise awareness and enable different audiences to access, enjoy and explore books from other cultures.

Outside In World will:

• Promote  and introduce more world literature through publications and online resources.
• Raise awareness of literature from around the world enabling different audiences to explore and enjoy it through the Outside In World website, projects, workshops, seminars, events and exhibitions.
• Assist UK and overseas publishers, translators, authors and illustrators by providing relevant information about translating and publishing books in the UK.
• Ensure the relevant media are kept abreast of key issues and developments in the field.
