Leilong's Too Long

by Julia Liu
Age Range: Under_5

Leilong has to be careful where he puts his feet on the busy roads and the road workers have to patch up after him when he fills up on grass cakes. He’s broken several bridges and knocked down a few houses with his tail but the children love going to school by brontosaurus despite the mishaps along the way. As the fines mount up the school reluctantly decide to take the brontosaurus bus off the road. What is Leilong to do now? Luckily the children are on hand to help their friend fit in.

Following on from the bestselling Leilong the Library Bus this charming and amusing story by Taiwanese author Julia Liu, translated from Chinese by Helen Wang, is about a friendly dinosaur who only wants to help but ends up needing a little assistance himself. The crayon and watercolour illustrations from illustrator Bei Lynn have an appealing simple child-like quality.
