Mrs Pepperpot at the Bazaar
by Alf Proysen
Age Range: Under_5
The Mrs Pepperpot stories by Norwegian author Alf Prřysen have become modern classics and firm favourites with children for generations, having first appeared in 1959. Mrs Pepperpot has a huge problem - she shrinks to the size of a pepperpot at the most inconvenient moments so she often finds herself in all sorts of trouble.
Mrs Pepperpot has promised to make gingerbread for the school bazaar but things get a bit tricky when she shrinks to her pepperpot size and she gets trapped under the mixing bowl! Luckily her friend Hannah is on hand to help and they decide to go along to the Bazaar and give the three stuck-up ladies who mocked her gingerbread a bit of a shock!
Delightful illustrations by Hilda Offen accompany this abridged version by Red Fox for the very young. Perfect for parents and carers to read aloud and introduce a brand new audience to the hilarious antics of Mrs Pepperpot.
