Puppets Unlimited with Everyday Materials

Based on the principles of traditional Indian puppetry, children will learn how to make puppets using everyday materials. Workshops carried out in India with a group of traditional puppeteers and children explored the way in which a puppet is created. The four chapters cover the many different puppets that can be made including hand puppets, rod puppets, shadow puppets and string puppets. There is also plenty of advice about playing with language, creating characters and stories, practical guide to puppet making and performing with puppets.
