Outside In book appeal
Have you got a (translated) children's book languishing on a bookshelf somewhere, gathering dust? Whether it is a classic or a contemporary read, in print or out of print, even something we may never have heard of... we would love to hear from you. We are building on our unique collection of children's literature from around the world and could give your book a prestigious new home! Please do contact us here at Outside In with any offers.
Michael Rosen pledges support

Outside In is thrilled to announce that Children's Laureate Michael Rosen has chosen to lend us his support. Michael says:
"Outside In will both be a reminder of how much we enjoy children's books from the past that have been translated into English and an introduction to new works. Literature is an international medium which
shares ideas and
forms and patterns. I
love the way the ‘Reading Round the
World’ project will celebrate this."
Michael Rosen,
Children’s Laureate, September 2008.
Outside In funding news
Outside In is delighted to announce that we have secured grant offers from Arts Council England and the Unwin Charitable Trust to launch our "Reading Round the World" workshop and seminar programme in 2009/10. We are extremely grateful to both organisations for their support.
Planning for a series of events to be held in schools and libraries is currently underway. International authors and illustrators are being invited to take part in these innovative workshops across the country.
Please do get in touch if you know of a school or library that might like to take part, a venue for one of our events or suggestions for authors/illustrators to take part.
